Revisiting Bunraku's Synopsis

After Kit-kat sent me a link to a picture from the set of Bunraku, I decided to go back to imdb and read the synopsis. And again, the only the only thought that crosses my mind is, "If it wasn't for Gackt, I wouldn't want to see this movie at all."

Reading the synopsis, I'm expecting the Bunraku's filming, acting, directing, and script quality to be on par with Sukiyaki Western Django. Why did I want to see it? Thinking back, I have no idea. But renting it was the biggest waste of money I've ever spent. The actual storyline, in chronological order instead of skipping around like the movie, could have been made into a really interesting movie. But I blame the director and the script writer for making it into a confusing, jumbled up, and completely awkward and strange movie.

Reading the casting list, i'm severely disappointed as well. Woody Harrelson is creepy, and always plays characters that I want to shove a paper bag over their heads and push them off a cliff. I don't care for Demi Moore - she's not an outstanding actress in the least, and none of her roles or movies come to mind when I think of good acting, characters, or films, besides her voice-acting for Esmeralda in the Hunchback of Notre Dame. The same of Josh Hartnett, except that every movie and role he's acted in comes up in my list of movies I would burn. Of the cast, these three seem to be the closest to 'star status', and the others I've never heard of, and don't seem to be worth mentioning.

So, besides seeing Gackt act, I have no high hopes for this movie.

The Things I Do While Waiting for the Mentalist...

I decided I would read LJ's news thing they send out, because sometimes the Writer's Block answers are actually interesting. Sadly, the question, "What (if any) books would you ban from a high school library? Are there certain subjects that you feel are inappropriate for teenagers regardless of literary merit?" had the answers I predicted it would. Romeo and Juliet, Twilight, no but more adult guidance, and no banning pretty much summed them all up.

One thing that I don't think people realized was that we're not talking about the government banning books from a public library. We're talking about banning books, from a high school library, that could potentially cause parental concern. Especially since most high school libraries are shared with junior high students, and in some cases, elementary school students. I'm entirely for the freedom of speech and one's right to access controversial materials, but once that person is an adult. For the same reason children cannot access rated R movies without parental consent, materials containing sexually explicit materials and other controversial materials don't belong public schools. If parents don't mind their children or teenagers reading books like that, then they can buy them the books from a bookstore or allow them to borrow them from the public library.

Parents and others like to complain about the way children and teenagers behave, but part of the problem is their lack of involvement in their children's lives, and the transfer of values to the next generation. Part of being involved in your child's life is setting limits and rules - what they are or aren't allowed to read or watch, they way they must act towards others, the responsibility of completing chores and homework, etc.

It's amazing how the people of the world are losing their common sense.

Sims 3

The other day, my little sister bought the Sims 3. 8D So far, it's been fun.<3 Sadly though, we've been having graphics/video card issues. I went to download a newer version of an Intel driver, but sadly, it turns out that Dell has their own effing driver for the card. Meaning, possible conflicts. 8D So, after trying a couple of other things (uninstalling AVG, turning off firewall, reinstalling the Dell driver...), I think I'll have to try uninstalling the Dell driver and installing the Intel driver.

In other news, my dog whines for carrots.

And currently watching NCIS. Awww, poor Ducky. No one can go to his Thanksgiving feast, so he'll be all alone. ;-;

Anyway, one of the things I love about the Sims 3 is the new personality system. I love the fact that the system is based upon a group of specific traits instead of annoying astrology point system. Not that I don't still love the Sims 2 - I totally plan on getting the other expansion packs. :3

Thinking of the traits made me wonder, if I was to make a list of ones that would apply to me for a sim, what would they be?

Absent-Minded<br style="border-top-color: rgb(29, 29, 29);
Movie Watching: 17 Again

Currently watching the movie 17 Again - yeah, that movie with Zac Efron. Not half bad. XD Better than most high school-staged movies. OMG, I'M SO PROUD OF MAGGIE. Quote from Mike/Mark: "One day you're going to find a guy who treats you like you deserve to be treated: like the sun rises and sets with you." That's so beautiful.

OMG, Maggie's psycho. You can't have Mike. DDD8 OMGGG that was so funny. *needs to stop typing this*

Anyway, it was really cute. I'll think about buying it. :)

*edit*
Characters because...I need to not spaz about things without explaining them:
Mark/Mike? - main character; high school basketball star, 35-40 year old man going through a divorce whose wife and kids hate him

Maggie - main character's daughter

Scarlet - (ex)wife of main character

And...I'm bad with names, so I don't remember anyone else's. Like the son.

Sims 2 and Rants at 2:30 in the Morning

I'm so annoyed. Within the past week, I was searching for Sims 2 downloads, and came across http://community.livejournal.com/pixel_trade Totally awesome site. Somehow, I went from there or some other community (can't think of what one then) to another site that had THE BEST zombies. I'm pretty sure it was part of a Halloween Challenge. And I swear that I saved it on my favorites. But I can't find it in my favorites, in my history (which was deleted :@) or after hours of searching.

I wanted those awesome zombies ;-;

But at least this video is making me happy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ME1Cm5tHRME&feature=related

I need to stop thinking everything and everyone is/resembles Yoshiki. Unless the fake Gackt in the video (4:01 is a ok shot) IS Yoshiki. Another question for another day.

So Glad Stress Doesn't Cause Ulcers

andwhydoesn'tmyspacebarwanttowork???

\sigh Life is beating me and my family over the head with an anvil atm. Fucking bitch of a sadist, life can be. All the other Calc 1 students beat me to the over-all favorite Calc professor, and it looks like I'm going to be stuck with the one who mumbles to herself or something. Maybe someone from the regular class will fail (such a bad wish, but it's not unlikely) and thus, open a spot...or maybe the teacher will squeeze me in. ;-;

Either way, someone is sooo getting a Christmas card from me this year. And that doesn't happen.

My family just had a major let's-scream-at-each-other-and-misunderstand-each-other-while-mooglemarcher-is-doing-calc-hw-due-tomorrow...blow up thing. Yeah, definitely not going to be finished tonight. And not going to try anymore now so I won't have calculus running through my head all night. I love math enough (too much, some might say) during the day, but I like my dreamless nights, thank you very much.

I'd wish for someone like Gackt or Yoshiki to invade my dreams, but I think that's asking for trouble. :X

Sometime this week, I need to haul my piece of shit computer into my room and clear off my desk (which right now, is nothing but a clutter collector). My computer looks like it's going to 'bite the dust' soon. I gave it CPR once already, and resuscitating things isn't entirely in my nature.

If something is broke and can be replaced with something better, it's time to upgrade. Especially if said upgrade is more time and cost efficient both long and short term than replacing old parts to keep the old machine running.

At least once my computer is replaced, I'm actually going to be getting a *new* computer instead of someone else's hand-me-down. I might do some cost-evaluating, and see how much fixing up my old clunker will cost. If it's reasonable, I'll fix it up, and use it as a Sims 2 only computer.

Since my desktop is pretty much out of commission though, I've given up on actually caring about my English class right now. Sad, yes? But I think that class has been the source of all of my worry and stress this entire semester. And I'm tired of breaking my back for that class, sacrificing my other classes in the progress.

I will not be content until I ace another Calculus test. I don't make B's in math, and that's my record for this semester. Pisses me off.

Anyway, enough ranting that no one reads. It's time to do some brain storming for a story I'm developing in my subconscious or spend my remaining brain cells on Final Fantasy XII fanfiction.

INTRODUCING: THE MULLOCK

This just made my day:

My sister, friend Kit-Kat, and I had a lovely convo about how Gackt must get the ideas for his weird hairstyles (not all of them are - just a couple. :3) by his bandmates getting him drunk and convincing him it's a good idea. Sooo fun. That was suggested by Kit-Kat. My little sister was like, "Oh yeah? Well...he must be drunk every time he walks into a salon!" I told her he would get mauled if we walked into a salon. XD Kit-Kat agreed, lol. Sister was like, "Would you maul him?" I answered, "...Yeah." She asked me if I would still maul him if I saw him with his mullock. I told her I would point and laugh. mwahaha. And then maybe maul him. (Except not really. I'd die from laughter first. And any other instance, I would just hyperventilate.) Kit-kat said, "No, thanks. I could live without mauling him. I feel bad enough for him already."

With what I heard about Gackt's record company being mofos and claiming copyright infringement on everything (ie: Youtube videos), and all the fans complaining to him, I feel bad for him also. So he feels sooo bad about what's happening. \cry He can't do anything about it, which isn't his fault, but it sucks on Jin's Kyoto eggplants. >( FANS SHOULD UNITE...AND BOMBARD THE COMPANY ITSELF WITH MAIL. MWAHAHAHAHA. That could be like, the only way to do anything, really. I really hope they hope up International DEARS soon, even though I have like, no money to join. If they're going to deny us of being able to watch the stuff without downloading it (because we can't download directly from Youtube unless you're like, a computer cracker or something), they need to supply us with a way to watch it. Because I swear we can only buy Asian DVDs which have a different region than US DVD players.

Bottom line: Open up International DEARS, release in the US, or release on iTunes for international fans.

Early Morning Ramblings, #01

In my family, if one person can't sleep well, no one can.

...Sometimes, I wonder if we have that 'telepathic link' that twins have in movies and whatnot.

I woke up this morning between two and three all because I had to pee. That never happens. Maybe the full moon? Who knows? Anyway, when I went back to bed, I couldn't sleep. I kept tossing and turning, and by 3:45 I gave up. I still hadn't watched Atonement yet, and what better time to watch an R rated movie than when everyone (including your 13 year old sister) is asleep?

Most depressing story ever. Ladder 49 is the only movie that can compare to the heartbreaking feeling. I could hardly breathe.

I don't relish the feeling.

But apparently, about the same time I woke up, my dad did also. He was able to fall back asleep, but he kept waking up. He decided to give up by about 5, and tinkered on the computer while I finished the last 45 minutes of my movie. And apparently, by that time, my little sister was laying in bed awake, too tired to get up, but not able to fall back asleep.

Maybe I'll get in a nap later to today. Definately going straight to bed after church tonight. So, that means I need to finish my Bio vocab this morning, and finish reading the chapters by this evening. I really doubt I'll get around to tweaking my English paper. Right now, I don't give a flying flip if my teacher takes off 10 points for having 862 words instead of her absolute maximum of 825.

I'm finding that when it comes to due dates and having a satifactory or somewhat-decent assignment already as well as reading or studying to do...tweaking the B worthy paper into an A paper goes on the back burner.

I really dislike school this semester.~~~

I AM ALIVE!

YES, FINALLY AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE ONLINE. School started a few weeks ago, and when it wasn't controlling every waking moment, the internet would constantly die. But, the weather is clearing up, so the internet isn't dying, and I have a FOUR DAY WEEKEND, BABY. OH YEAH.~ Definitely time to catch up with RPing when I'm not pouring over my <strike>insanely interesting</strike> Biology and Western Humanities books.

Life is good.
This is so amazing because a couple of friends and I keep saying, "One day, we're going to own a TV station! 8D" We haven't decided on a name yet. But, we want to write our own dramas, similar to those in Japan and Korea. Because most American TV seems to suck. :( And the shows go on forever, so there's nothing new. They wouldn't be copies of shows already playing, obviously, because they would be our own creations. The thought is so exciting.

My friends and I want to open a restaraunt inside the station, as well as a museum with items from our own shop (though I can't think of the actual merchandise or museum items since I'm working on less than 6 hours of sleep).

I should add more details later.

INTERNET ISSUES FIXED

For anyone who missed me for the past few/several days...I'M SORRY. I was having major computer problems. Long story short is that I got tired of my family overworking my poor netbook, and moved my PC where everyone could use it. But the internet was finicky, and my computer hates the internet. So was stuck with oooold Windows Messenger because I couldn't download Windows Live Messenger and Plus! to chat, and I couldn't even go on AIM or check my email. :(:(:(

I wound up spending most of my time working on turning a picture of Yasuda Shota into a merman. He's not a merman yet, but I did make his arms since I could only find ONE good picture of him showing his torso.<3

Before:

After:

I actually smoothed out the surroundings now, and I'm working on the tail...but it's a bizitch.

But, it decided to work long enough last night for me to download Windows Live Messenger and Plus! as well as Google Chrome. Now, ever so reluctantly, I have to use Chrome instead of IE on this computer. Because Chrome actually works.

SO, WE'RE BACK IN BUSINESS.

Belated Naruto Reading - Someone Shoot Me

I decided to go read Naruto chapter 459 today. Maybe it's becuase it's been so long since I've read Naruto, that I skipped chapters instead of reading up to it...but my only thought so far is What. The. Hell?

SPOILERS.

First, you're with these kages from the different hidden villages, and they're trying to form an alliance. Everyone actually there is epic fail for becoming the leader. One dude (from Kumogakure?) has an attitude problem and anger issues, and the word "authority" must be considered the most vile word to him ever created.

Practically everyone else has been used be Akatsuki or has an Akatsuki base in their country, except for Gaara. But he's too young. :@ So the only person left is the Hokage, but right now there's that guy running Konoha that just screams "MOFO" to me. I WANT GAARA TO RUN THINGS. :@

And we get to see some guy using Byakugan, and it makes me wonder just how many characters have had a special eye transplanted in them, and how this guy was special enough to get past all of the Hyuuga junk to get the eye.

And then it randomly changes to Konoha with Ino crying her eyes out, and everyone standing around like an idiot. And Shikamaru gets the "you go talk to the others" treatment (at least he apparently volunteered before). So he's forced to explain to Sakura why Team ShikaInoCho needs permission to kill Sasuke. After over a hundred chapters of wanting him dead so the series can move on already I want Sakura and Naruto to say yes despite how it kills them inside. Because watching all of this is killing me inside.

Then we go to Naruto and his musings about Sasuke, and how he doesn't understand him anymore, and how he wonders if the hatred has eaten Sasuke up inside. I think he hit the nail on the head.

Then there's Sasuke and co. and everyone's like OMG WHERE'D HE SUDDENLY GO?! :O:O:O

And we're back to Sakura and co. and at least she's like, "I'll tell Naruto [since he's in some other country ATM]."

And Byakugan guy is like :O:O:O Shisui's chakra! Too bad...I think I'm half asleep, so I don't know who he's talking about. And I feel like this chapter is 29302939 places at once. OH IT'S THE MOFO HOKAGE GUY. XDDDDDDDDDD That makes a lot of sense, that guy having Shisui's eye and being able to control everyone's mind. Shisui was such a cute boy when he was small. :( AND I LOVE HOW EVERYONE SEEMS TO HAVE AN UCHIHA EYE?

At least now we know how else Mofo Hokage guy (Danzo?) can control his soldiers besides just the tongue seal - because the tongue seal just stops the talking. :)

I'm liking this Byakugan eye stealer guy more, at least. Though the fact everyone is stealing everyone's eyes is creeping me out and making me sick to my stomach.

At least Akatsuki showed up just in time - "Saved by the bell" lol. I love all the varying exclamation points? ^o)

OH. SO...WERE THEY LOOKING FOR SASUKE WHEN THEY WERE LIKE, "WHERE DID HE GO???"??? That would make more sense.

The end. :)

Musing About the Future

The more I contemplate the profession of a teacher...the more I contemplate that it is a job I might like to have.

...I know, I'm crazy.

Especially since I have so many 'dreams'/wants in life. And those take money. Or at least mine tend to.

But my greatest desire in life is to have a job I want to have. Where I don't mind the course work to get there, working several hours a day or more, and the pay is just a bonus. My aunt told me before to, "Find a job you really enjoy doing - that you wouldn't mind doing without pay. Then, the pay is just something extra." And looking at my parents who, at the end of the day and all of its worries and stresses, can still say they enjoy what they do... I'm worried I may not find that.

I think that's my biggest fear.

Host Club RP - Applied

I finally applied to the Host Club RP! I hope that I made Sai interesting and IC, but with a few original works that will work with him. I may be hoping for too much, but it was worth a shot. :D

I should get back to putting up laundry, finding lunch, checking Replay's email, and checking when classes start. I'll be back with a schedule. ;D

BACK AGAIN 8D

I'M BACK FROM CO! A totally different experience from Florida. I really enjoyed it though; practically _no_ humidity.~ Where I stayed, everything was practically in walking distance, so I was actually active. Oo I had a great time - but I did miss everyone. I missed the computer (though, I realize that if I didn't want an online social life, I could live without it. Painful thought though.), my dogs (apparently, my puppy really missed me; she kept whinning at my door, and looking around in my room trying to find me), and my family. My little sister sent me a text and called me to see how I was doing, and my parents called a couple of times (I always forget to call them).

Colorado was a nice break, but I'm glad to be back.

Highlights: Spud Brothers restaurant, Boulder tea house (first herbal tea I liked: strawberry lemon), Pearl Street, 29th Street, Jamba Juice smoothies, first-fourth plane rides, The Ritz costume shop, Colorado University, LASP, government-funded wind turbine research, etc.

To-Do - 30 June

I've attempted to catch up on the RP journals and mod entries this morning. Since everyone was inactive for a week or two, I kind of...forgot to check them for awhile. I'll try to comment on the RP journals later today.

Right now, I really need to go jump in the shower. I need to go with my grandma to take her puppy to the vet. It's a cute little yorkie named Remmy.<3 Amalia, the ferret, really wants to run around though...but Snoopy, the beagle-basset is inside. I don't want Snoop picking up Amalia like a little toy. Maybe I'll let Amalia run around in the bathroom while I shower. <strike>She's such a peeping tom though.</strike> I keep to put the garbage can somewhere so she won't climb in it. :@

Well, I just hope the lightening will stay far away until I'm finished. I do love the rain though.<3

Vacation Plans

This summer has definately flown by. Or at least, June has. I'm making plans to visit a friend of mine in CO for a week in July. :D It'll be my first plane trip, and I've never been that far north before. I still need to contact her parents though to make sure everything is hunky-dory on their end.

It just kind of irks me that I'm forking out $300 for a round-trip plane ticket - $20 shy of all of my graduation cash.

I can't decide if planning the whole trip since it feels like suddenly everything is stressful is really worth it right now. I don't know why I feel so stressed though. My sister is finally finished with her project, so she can send it to her teachers tomorrow. And I won't have to worry about helping her while I'm gone. That was my biggest hang up about the trip. Maybe it's because my dad hasn't phoned her dad yet.

Or maybe it's the 0293840239 other things I feel are stacking up. Most of which deal with school. Like right now, I'd like to go find the legislatures that changed Bright Futures and ring their necks. It makes me so mad, I can feel my blood boil just thinking about it. My high school finally sent the college I plan to attend in the fall my final transcripts. And the dual enrollment office finally fixed my account where I'm not showing up as a dual enrolled student anymore. However, the school is still telling me that my financial aid file was dropped because of those two reasons.

AND GOSH DANG IT, I WANT TO STRANGLE THE NEXT PERSON OR THING THAT INTERUPTS ME. :@:@:@

Maybe it's my mother. She always makes me uptight when she's home.

God, it'll be a miracle if I don't explode.
What I miss most about being a kid would probably be the lack of responsibility. The only thing kids have to worry about is having fun, and making sure they have their toys picked up. Now that I'm older, I not only have more responsibilities at home (cooking, cleaning, helping younger sibling with homework, etc.) and school (increasingly difficult coursework and projects), but social obligations to the people I know. To keep a happy relationship with someone, you have to set aside time for them. But it seems like as life goes on, your time for yourself and friends dwindles.

I want to be four again.

You Know the Party's Here

Sing along and have no fear. N'sync is here to make you people scream.

*cough* >> Well, I'm back after having four days of nonstop fun/excitement. :D I'm surprised I'm not as tired as I expected, but then again, I probably slept for 12 hours last night.

Friday was graduation. Rehearsal was at 10am, and went straight from there to a faculty/alumni luncheon with the valedictorians, master of ceremonies, and the other salutatorian. I had to wait like, half an hour for my mom to pick me up afterwards to take me to get my hair straightened so it wouldn't poof under my cap. :) We wound up not getting home until 5:30, so we had half an hour to get ready before we had to leave again. Then we went back into town so I could graduate (I forgot my sash-thing that said I had high honors GPA and my medal for being a salutatorian. ):). After, we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Sooo good.

Saturday...I had some friends over for the day to hang out and sort of celebrate that we finally graduated. :D My dad cooked chicken and country ribs on the grill, I made some baked beans, and my mom cooked corn (and probably something else, but I don't remember). We watched Labrynth with David Bowie (better the second time around), then played Imagine Iff. After a game, we ate cake, and a friend went home. We played another game, played Monopoly (I lost :P), and another friend went home. The last two, Satsuki and Kou, filled two pages of my year book with funny/senseless stuff. xD And they went home.

Sunday (at 1am) my uncle picked me up, and I stayed the night at his house because he invited me to go to the springs with him and my aunt's family. There were...three little girls, five little boys, and five adults (including myself) that played with them in the water. Even though for me sun + water + kids = exhaustion, it was fun. :) The little girls stuck to me like glue because they wanted me to help them swim, hold them, pull them around with their floaties, talk to them, and whatnot. After the springs, we went to my uncle and aunt's (I kept falling asleep for a couple of seconds on the way back). My aunt ordered Chinese takeout for us, and I was able to watch A Journey to the Center of the Earth before my uncle took me home.

Monday was the picnic my friends planned the week before. My grandma dropped me off at Satsuki's, and we went to the store to buy sandwich stuff and drinks and ice (I brought the cooler 8D). We spent the day at the park, eating, exploring the forest, etc. Then we went back to Satsuki's to play Fatal Frame 3 (I always freak out when I play, and Kou had to help me. XD). Then we went to Kou's to play Clue and Monopoly Jr. XD Even though Satsuki didn't really know how to play before we began Clue, she won both times, lol. Monopoly Jr. took longer than it should have, but I lost. XD

And then today I slept in, and had a relaxing day after going full-speed ahead for so long. It's been nice. :)

Well, last night I stayed up until ~3 or 4 writing a short story. tompunks, satsuki_moto, and myself gave eachother themes and genres. My theme was the Susie Q. tale, and my genre was romance. If you would like something new to read, please my entry and the other Session #01 entries.
Random: AcQuA Club

Well, when I was trying to find another RP club to keep me busy during the summer, I stumbled upon an AcQuA Club RP. And THUS, I have rediscovered the AcQuA host club, and their old group, AcQuA EP. :333

I went through all the pictures of hosts that were displayed, and found my favorites. I think I have ~10-15 that I found the best looking. Then as I was complaining to a friend that I would never find a favorite, I was sifting through my choices. ...It's pretty depressing that I actually started to unconsciously give them labels, like, "___-type". And so, I went from 10-15 good looking hosts to five favorite hosts with labels. \dead

#1 Favorite/Lover-type: Kai Ozaki

Date-type: Kyo Nishimura

Pet-type (Yes, 'pet', like Kimi wa Petto): Zamaru Tsubaki

Boyfriend-type: Kanato Yagami

Flirt-type: Ayumu Kujyo

Why I am sharing this, I don't know.
10 Years in the Making

Well, since I had the opportunity to laze about today, I decided to spend my day on Youtube finding new jrock groups. That didn't go as planned. xD I somehow got distracted with finding Gackt videos (he's funny as Hell, man). I still didn't find the one of him on Domoto w/e where his legs fell asleep, and he grabbed someone to keep from falling over, scaring them half to death. XD So, the rest of my day was spent looking up new information on him and his releases.

I found his official website and his Myspace page! Victory, haha. And no, I didn't find them before; I'm not an obsessed fan, even though he is my absolute favorite celebrity. Turns out, he had an Overseas Dears Provisory Questionaire! Too bad...that the term ended April 30th. :@ SO NOW I CAN'T TELL THEM HOW MUCH I WANT TO BE A FOREIGN DEAR. :@:@:@ <strike>They should seriously take the link off the official page so people aren't confused.</strike>

While on Gackt's Myspace page, I was listening to his new music. He has a new single that was released in March: "Journey through the Decade". When I read it, I was like, "Journey through the Decade...that's ten years...people usually make CDs with titles like that every ten years..." And then I glanced over the the little bio, and it said he went solo in 1999. "Oh, that's ten years ago...TEN YEARS AGO?!? :O THEN THIS YEAR IT'S HIS TENTH ANNIVERSARY OF BEING SOLO! :O:O:O"

...It's depressing how I come upon these realizations. *dead* BUT! This means I can do something to celebrate. :333 I don't know the actual date when he announced he went solo or anything...but, I want to do something.

Anyway, time to get back to killing time with stupid movies. <strike>I can't believe I'm watching Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.</strike>

"Goodbye, my chicken!"
